In the morning, two attractive women visit where Doc and his men are headquartered. |
Monk happily greets Karen and Adriana. |
Doc overhears the women extend an invitation on behalf of Captain Seas to visit his yacht for dinner. |
As Monk is making their apologies for not being able to attend, Doc appears.
Doc: "Please tell Captain Seas we'd be delighted."
Doc and his men arrive at Captain Seas's yacht. |
Seas to Doc: "I've heard a great deal about you. Scientist, explorer, inventor, criminologist. Some people even say you're a magician-- at least when it comes to remarkable escapes." |
When asked about his business, Seas explains: "It changes from day to day... But basically, what I do is recognize opportunities and seize them."
Monk: "That why they call you Captain Seas?"
Seas: "Very good. Ha ha ha ha. No. I've made so many voyages to all corners of the world, that I adopted the name Seas. S-E-A-S. My real name is absolutely unpronounceable."
Seas offers Doc a drink. He refuses liquor and asks for a Coke. |
Doc's men have similar requests - Coke, lemonade, root beer.
Johnny: "Uh, if it's not too exiguous a request... Could I have a glass of milk?"
The waiter obviously hasn't encountered a group like this before. |
Seas: "Tell me, Savage, what brings you and your friends to the Republic of Hidalgo? Very few people even know of its existence."
Doc: "My father passed away in Hidalgo. We came to pay our last respects."
Seas: "I'm truly sorry. My deepest sympathies."
| |
Karen announces dinner is served. |
Doc and his men have a sumptuous meal with Captain Seas, Karen and Adriana.
Monk: "What a meal. You mind if I loosen my belt?"
Ham: "You'll have to forgive my friend. As a child, he was so busy studying chemistry, he never learned any manners." |
Seas offers Doc a cigarette or cigar but he refuses.
Seas: "Oh, I should've guessed. You and your friends don't smoke either." |
Long Tom decides to take a cigarette, but turns down the offer of a lighter. He has his own. |
Seas excuses Karen and Adriana, who leave complaining about men always talking business. |
Seas: "To tell the truth... I didn't think we'd ever meet."
As he talks, his men re-enter the room, taking up positions.
Doc: "I rather assumed we would."
Seas: "Ha ha ha. You are indeed a most unusual man. You know... Under different circumstances, we possibly could've become friends, since we're both adventurers-- each in our own way." |
Seas: "But circumstances are not different. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed your dinner. Because it was your last."
To Long Tom: "And you, sir. Enjoy your last cigarette."
At a nod from Doc, Long Tom uses his "lighter" to zap the chandelier, plunging the dining room into darkness. |
Doc lashes out at Seas... |
...and the fight begins! |
Renny punches through a chair one of the henchmen wields.
Doc tosses a flunky over to... |
...Long Tom, who uses the wires from a lamp to shock him into unconsciousness. |
Johnny attacks the nerve centers of a toadie. |
Monk fights with anything handy - in this case, using his cumberbund to blind an enemy.
Ham uses his drugged sword cane to knock out opponents. |
Doc continues to battle the seemingly endless supply of crewmen. |
Heavily outnumbered, Renny punches through a door panel so the Five can make good their escape. |
On deck, they run into a tommygun wielding Captain Seas. |
Renny: "Holy cow! Into the drink!"
Doc comes around from the other direction. |
Seas levels his machine gun at Doc.
His finger tightens on the trigger. |
He sprays Doc with lead...to no effect! |
Seas's men come up behind Doc...
...as more join their leader, blocking both ends of the walkway. Doc ducks into a doorway. |
As the criminals rush Doc's position, he springs at them, bowling them out of the way. |
Doc dives into the safety of the sea.
| |
Seas and his men shower the ocean with lead. |
When they stop shooting, the water is calm, with no sign of Savage or his men.
Underwater, Doc pulls off his bulletproof outerwear and uses his rebreather to stay submerged.
He swims off with his men. |
